A Powerful Marketing Tool For Small Businesses

In case you don't like listening to audio, here's a transcript of today's podcast on "The Most Powerful Small Business Marketing Tool Known to Man (or Woman)"
The other day I was talking with a friend of mine who's just launching a new online business. I mentioned how I've been doing a lot with social networking sites, blogging and whatnot. And that I was about to start podcasting and creating videos. She said, "Yeah, I need to do all that too. But I just don't have the time." Boy, have I heard that one before.
Einstein once said "Nothing happens until something moves" And that's especially true in business. It's not enough to know what you need to do. You have to do it too. That's why I say the most powerful tool for marketing and growing your small business is your own ability to take action.
A while back I made the rule that I wasn't going to start anything new until I implemented everything I already knew I should do. Chances are you already know what you should be doing. You're just not getting it done.
So don't let yourself get stuck in analysis paralysis or information overload. And don't keep starting off on a new tangent without making sure you've finished what you started. Instead make a list of what you need to do then find a way to make it happen.
If you're stuck on the how of getting things done, remember, you don't have to do it all or even know how to. Chances are someone else has already got it all figured out. I have a highly-skilled team of virtual assistants who handles almost all of the technical dirty work for me. They built my blog and upload posts, update my Websites, set up my social networking profiles, and once I found the system to do podcasts like this on my blog, they set up the technical side of that for me too.
Simple. Easy. Done. And each time I have them do something else for me I see the benefits in my shrinking hours and stress level, and my growing business. So stop stalling and find a way to take action on your ideas now. Once you get the ball rolling, I promise gravity will kick in and it'll get easier and easier as you go.
Have you found useful ways to get more done?
